Perched above Seacombe Sands / Gara Rock Beach in East Portlemouth, High Nature is a secluded, nature-immersed sanctuary where groups can gather without distraction — surrounded by big skies, sea air and rolling South Devon countryside.

This is more than a venue.
It’s a place to celebrate fully, and exhale deeply.

Long Weekends, Mid Week or 5 Night Stays!

Many groups / retreat organisers choose High Nature for a full weekend or longer — giving space for winding down, connection and relaxation. We can accommodate 40 glamping guests, and another 30 in our camping / campervan pitches.

4-night midweeks (Mon–Fri): May 17th-21st, May 24th-28th, June 7th-11th, June 14th-18th, June 21st-25th, June 28th-July 2nd, July 5th-July 9th, July 12th-July 16th, July 19th-July 23rd, Sept 6th-10th, Sept 13th-17th.
5 night stays (Fri-Wed, Wed-Mon): May 14th-19th, May 19th-24th, May 21st-26th, June 25th-30th, June 30th-July 5th, July 2nd-7th, July 7th-12th, July 9th-14th, July 16th-21st, Sept 1st-6th, Sept 3rd-8th, Sept 8th-13th, Sept 10th-15th.
7 night stays: May 14th-21st, May 17th-24th, May 21st-28th, June 25th-July 2nd, June 28th-July 5th, July 2nd-9th, July 5th-12th, July 9th-16th, July 12th-19th, July 16th-23rd, Sept 3rd-10th, Sept 6th-13th, Sept 10th-17th.
3 week stay: June 7th-June 25th
2 week stay: Sept 3rd-17th

High Nature offers flexible accommodation options, allowing your whole group to stay on one beautiful site.

Glamping Accommodation:

5 yurts sleeping up to 25 guests
3 bell tents sleeping a further 15
6 spacious grass pitches for tents and small campervans

Site Capacity:

We can comfortably host 60+ guests across the site.

40 people glamping
20-30 people camping in their own tents / campervans
Plus an additional 40 day visitors
70 people max staying overnight
100 people max during the daytime

The glamping area also has its own:

Fully equipped kitchen cabin
24-hour hot showers
Dry earth toilets
Wild flower & grass meadows to explore

So whether guests are glamping or camping, everyone stays comfortable.

Our beautiful Dining Tunnel can seat up to 80 people at tables and chairs — making it ideal for large celebratory meals, workshops, talks or shared feasts.

The adjoining Bar Area can be:

Imagine long tables filled with friends and family, laughter echoing through the space, and dinner served surrounded by living plants — because throughout High Nature you’ll find organic food growing everywhere.

Herbs, vegetables and edible flowers are woven into the landscape, so you quite literally dine immersed in nature.
