High Nature Bell Tents

Our Bell Tent Camp (Pitch 11)

Our yurts are extremely popular which is why we’ve expanded our provision and created The High Nature Bell Tent Camp.  We also appreciate that some people are on tighter budgets and they equally deserve to visit and enjoy this special location!

Our bell tent camp is designed like a mini eco village with the tents positioned in a circle around a central fire pit, perfect for larger families, groups or those travelling alone who want to meet others.  Guests are welcome to book bell tents individually or as a whole.  The Bell Tent Camp is pitch 11 on the site map which is not only protected from the prevailing winds during the Summer months but also benefits from the sun rising in the East.

Our bell tents are high quality, beautifully furnished with zipped in groundsheets.  Our 5m bell tent has a large porch, perfect for additional storage /  sheltering whilst you remove your shoes.  They are very spacious, you can even stand up in them!  They are set up for a family of 5 (1 x double, 3 x singles).  At present they don’t have wood burners but we can provide you with extra blankets and you can bring a brazier (or hire one of ours) to warm up outside before bedtime.

Our 4m bell tent is also beautifully furnished with a zipped in ground sheet, designed for couples and smaller families (1 x double, 3 x singles).

Then we have our smaller 3m bell tent which is perfect for couples and solo travellers.

Private & Shared Facilities

Private Mobile Kitchen Units

We provide mobile kitchen units so that all our yurts can be independent if preferred. They include a sturdy workbench, cast iron gas hobs (gas included), a sink, a cool box, a water butt, food storage areas and all crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. Freezer/cool packs can be rotated in a separate fridge/freezer located outside at the back of the yurt camp kitchen, you can also refill your water and dispose of waste and recycling here.

Shared Yurt Camp Kitchen Cabin (Yurts only)

This kitchen has everything you need for self catering including gas hobs, a grill, 2 ovens, fridges, small freezer, storage cupboards for food, washing up facilities, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, recycling bins, indoor and outdoor dining areas.

Those bringing their own accommodation will also need to bring their own camping kitchens.

Shared Tunnel Spaces

Some of our tunnels are accessible to our guests.  You are most welcome to hang out in the games and solar shower tunnel, you will find a table tennis table and other games and art supplies here.  Please tidy up before you leave and make sure kids are supervised and responsible.  Our dining tunnel is available to use at lunch times and during bad whether (unless we have an event on).  You are also welcome to hang wet clothes in our drying tunnel.

Compost Toilets

Our compost toilets are a dry ‘closed loop’ system meaning that your waste produce is converted into a valuable resource to feed our trees.  The process takes 18 months.  We have been doing this process since 2009 and our trees are very grateful!

Hot Showers

The hot showers and compost toilets are a shared facility and are located at the back of the main camping field.  They are checked and cleaned regularly.

BBQ, Braizers, Fire Bowls

We have a limited number available here for our guests to use (please enquire). You are welcome to bring your own but all fires must be raised from the ground to protect the grass from damage.
